Yearnings of a Yellow Rose

Day Becomes Night

Leaves swirl and dance on the morning breeze
Brilliant colors of orange red and gold
Butterflys flit and fly so free
Irridecent shades so beautiful and bold

Fires warmth burn against the sunset sky
Bats fly in tandem through the trees
Children are called to drop their play
Dinner's aroma wafts through the breeze

Night falls in a blanket of darkness
Street lights glow in a perfect hue
The air is still with a golden silence
The ground anxiously awaits the midnight dew
